Responsible Gambling

Gambling is Entertainment,
Not a Solution

At pk2car, responsible gambling is not a checkbox — it is fundamental to how this platform operates. We cover cricket betting, PSL T20, ICC tournaments, football, live casino and more, and we are acutely aware that for some users in Pakistan, the excitement of live betting can tip from entertainment into something more harmful.

That is why we place responsible gambling tools and information at the centre of every user's experience. Whether you are following a Karachi Kings match or a live dealer table from Lahore, the same principle applies: set your limits before you start, stick to a budget you can genuinely afford, and treat every session as entertainment — not a path to profit.

If you are ever unsure whether your gambling is still under control, the answer is to pause. This page will help you understand the tools available and what to do if you need support.

✅ pk2car's Responsible Gambling Pledge: We will never encourage irresponsible play. We do not market to vulnerable users. We prominently display harm-minimisation tools on every page. And we actively support any user who wants to reduce or stop their gambling.

Adults Only — No Exceptions

Access to pk2car is strictly limited to adults. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the platform — or the higher minimum age required by the Operator's license jurisdiction, whichever is greater. Age verification is conducted at the time of registration and, where necessary, before any withdrawal is processed.

In Pakistan, legal gambling ages are governed by a combination of federal and provincial legislation. The Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 applies nationally. pk2car does not assert that online gambling is lawful in Pakistan or that any Pakistani authority endorses this platform. Users must satisfy themselves that access is lawful in their location. This is not legal advice.

🔞 Underage Access is Strictly Prohibited

If you are under 18, or under the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, you must not use pk2car under any circumstances.

If you believe a minor is accessing this platform, contact [email protected] (plain text — not a link) immediately.

pk2car will suspend and permanently close any account found to be operated by a minor, and will handle any associated funds in accordance with applicable law and Operator policy.

👨‍👩‍👧 Protecting Children at Home: If you share devices with children, we recommend using parental control software such as Net Nanny, Qustodio or your device's built-in screen time controls to restrict access to gambling websites.

Take Control — Tools Available to You

pk2car provides a full suite of responsible gambling tools. We strongly recommend setting these limits before your first deposit — not after you've already placed a bet.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount you can deposit over a daily, weekly or monthly period — for example, PKR 5,000 per week or PKR 15,000 per month. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are possible until the period resets. Reducing a limit takes effect immediately; increasing one requires a mandatory cooling-off period.

Loss Limits

Cap the total amount you are prepared to lose within a set period. If your losses reach the limit — say PKR 3,000 in a single day — the platform prevents further betting activity for the remainder of that period. Loss limits are one of the most effective tools for keeping gambling within a healthy budget.

Time Limits & Session Controls

Set a maximum session duration after which pk2car will prompt you to take a break or automatically log you out. You can also enable reality checks — periodic pop-up reminders showing how long you have been playing and how much you have spent or won in that session.

Cool-Off Periods

Need a short break without a full self-exclusion? A cool-off period temporarily suspends your account for a chosen duration — 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days or 30 days. During this time you cannot log in, deposit or place any bets. The account resumes automatically when the period ends.

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion is a longer-term voluntary ban from gambling. You can exclude yourself for 6 months, 1 year, 3 years or permanently. During exclusion, you cannot access your account, and pk2car will take steps to prevent you from creating a new one. This is a serious commitment — and we will honour it completely.

Wager Limits

Restrict the maximum single bet you can place — for example, PKR 500 per bet — to keep individual stakes within a range you are comfortable with. This is particularly useful for users who find themselves placing increasingly large bets during live cricket or PSL T20 matches.

Requesting Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion is available to all registered pk2car users. The process is straightforward and we aim to process all requests within 24 hours. Once active, exclusion cannot be reversed during the minimum exclusion period.

1
Log In to Your Account

Access the Responsible Gambling section within your account settings dashboard.

2
Select "Self-Exclusion"

Choose your exclusion duration: 6 months, 1 year, 3 years or permanent. Review the terms carefully.

3
Confirm Your Decision

Confirm the exclusion via the on-screen prompt. A confirmation will be sent to your registered email address.

4
Account Suspended Immediately

Access to your account is suspended upon confirmation. Any active session will be terminated.

5
Contact Support if Needed

If you need assistance or wish to self-exclude via email, contact [email protected] (plain text — not a link) with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request".

⚠️ Important: Self-exclusion via pk2car applies to your account on this platform only. If you use other betting operators, you should apply for exclusion on those platforms separately. Consider a multi-operator exclusion scheme if one is available in your jurisdiction.

Setting Your Limits

01
Before Your First Deposit

The best time to set limits is before you start. Decide on a weekly or monthly gambling budget — an amount you can genuinely afford to lose without financial strain — and set your deposit limit to match it.

02
Reducing vs Increasing Limits

Reducing any limit (deposit, loss, wager, session time) takes effect immediately. Increasing a limit requires a mandatory cooling-off period before the change is applied — this is by design to prevent impulsive decisions during a session.

03
Reviewing Your Limits

We recommend reviewing your limits every month — particularly around high-activity periods such as PSL T20 season or ICC World Cup tournaments, when it can be tempting to increase stakes. Your limits are accessible in your Account Settings at any time.

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling does not always look the same for everyone. These are recognised warning signs that gambling may be becoming harmful. If any of these resonate with your own experience — or someone you know — please seek support.

Chasing losses. Placing bigger bets to try to recover money already lost in a session.

Gambling with money needed for essentials. Using funds that should cover rent, food, children's school fees or household bills in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi or elsewhere.

Lying about gambling activity. Hiding your gambling from family members or close friends, or downplaying how much time and money you spend.

Feeling unable to stop. Continuing to gamble even when you have decided to stop, or feeling anxious or irritable when not gambling.

Borrowing money to gamble. Taking out loans, using credit cards, or borrowing from family to fund betting activity.

Gambling as an escape. Using gambling to relieve stress, anxiety, loneliness or depression rather than for entertainment.

Neglecting work, family or health. Gambling interfering with professional responsibilities, personal relationships or physical and mental wellbeing.

Ask Yourself These Questions

This is not a clinical screening tool, but honest answers to these questions can help you gauge whether your gambling is still recreational.

Have I ever spent more on gambling than I originally planned to?
Have I ever gambled to try to win back money I had already lost?
Have I ever hidden my gambling activity from my family?
Has gambling ever affected my ability to meet my financial obligations?
Have I ever felt anxious, restless or irritable when trying to reduce my gambling?
Have I ever borrowed money — from family, JazzCash, a bank like HBL or UBL, or elsewhere — specifically to gamble?
Has anyone close to me expressed concern about how much I gamble?

If you answered "Yes" to two or more of the above, this is a strong signal that your gambling may no longer be recreational. Please use the self-exclusion tool or review the support resources listed below. Reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Recreational Gambling vs Problem Gambling

Aspect Recreational Play ✅ Problem Gambling ⚠️
Budget Fixed budget set in advance; losing it ends the session No fixed budget; keeps depositing to recover losses
Emotional State Plays for fun; calm when losing Anxious, agitated or desperate when losing
Time Spent Sessions are a defined leisure activity Gambling consumes increasing amounts of time
Priorities Work, family and health remain the priority Gambling takes precedence over responsibilities
Honesty Open with family about gambling activity Conceals gambling from family or friends
Finances Only stakes money genuinely disposable Borrows, uses bill money or sells assets to gamble
Stopping Can stop whenever they choose Feels unable to stop even when they want to

Managing Your Gambling Budget in PKR

PKR
Define Your Entertainment Budget

Treat your gambling budget the same as you would a cinema ticket or a dinner out — a fixed, discretionary spend. If you would not spend PKR 5,000 on a single evening's entertainment in Lahore, don't spend it on betting either.

🏦
Separate Your Funds

Keep your gambling funds in a separate wallet or account from your household budget. When the gambling fund is empty, the session is over. This prevents accidental overspending of essential funds — regardless of whether you bank with HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank or use Easypaisa or JazzCash.

📊
Track Your Spending

Review your transaction history in your pk2car account at least once a week. Seeing real PKR figures — not chips or virtual credits — is one of the most effective ways to maintain perspective on what gambling actually costs.

📌 Remember: All amounts won through gambling are subject to potential loss on the next bet. Winnings are never guaranteed income. A session ending in profit does not mean the next one will. Budget accordingly — every time.
